An ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp’ (EAC), sponsored by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) got underway at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) here today.
The course is being organised by the Department of Biomedical Engineering at NEHU sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) Ahmedabad and will run until March 20.
More than 75 students from different backgrounds are attending this camp. The experts from industry and academia will deliberate with the participants to make them aware about entrepreneurship, start-ups, marketing an idea and generation of resources for product commercialisation.
The course was inaugurated by Prof Iftekhar Hussain, Dean of the School of Technology.
During the welcome speech, D Bhatia, the course coordinator, outlined the objectives of organising the awareness camp at the university and how it would benefit young entrepreneurs in the long run.
Hussain highlighted the role of start-ups and entrepreneurs in the country and how they can shape India’s future.
