Former Mawlai MLA and UDP leader, Embhahlang Syiemlieh has resigned from the party.
Syiemlieh along with six other leaders from UDP Mawlai circle in a letter to the party president, Metbah Lyngdoh said they are not pleased with the party and did not elaborate further.
The former MLA was also the party vice president of Shillong city and adviser of the state youth wing and the youth wing of Mawlai circle.
The others who call it quits are Manbhalang Marius Syiemlieh Joint Secretary UDP State Youth Wing and President UDP Youth Wing Shillong City District, Raymond Khyriem, Joint Secretary UDP Youth Wing Shillong City District & Working president UDP Mawlai Circle, Pyndap Lawriniang, Publicity UDP Youth Wing Shillong City District and Seiborlang Kharbamon, the Assistant Publicity UDP Youth Wing Shillong City District, Bankerlang Marbaniang, Finance Secretary UDP Youth Wing Shillong City District and Dimos June Syiemlieh, Vice-President UDP Mawlai Circle.
