Shillong, Feb 2: The Government of Meghalaya has notified the preparation of electoral rolls of all constituencies of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC).
The District Council Affairs Department has informed that preparation of the electoral rolls will be prepared in accordance with Rule 129 of the Assam and Meghalaya Autonomous District (Constitution of District Councils) Rule 1951, as amended for the purpose of holding the General Elections, 2026.
The draft electoral rolls will be published on February 4, followed by the last date for filing claims and objections being February 18
All claims and objections will be dealt with by March 2 with the publication of the final electoral rolls on March 6.
