The office of the Deputy Project Manager of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was put under lock and key by members of the East Jaiñtia National Council (EJNC) at Mynkre today.
The group led by the Khliehriat circle general secretary stated also said that Deputy Project Manager, Neeraj Kumar should be removed from office as was never found in station to attend to important projects for repair of the national highway in the district.
According to the group, Kumar was never found in office and as such roads which requires repair are left pending for months even as they questioned the fate of the collection made from vehicles at the toll gate.
