Shillong, Sep 21: A 4.0 Magnitude earthquake rattled northern Bangladesh and Meghalaya on Sunday morning.
The quake was at a depth of 10km, according to India’s National Centre for Seismology, and was felt at 11:49am India time.
The epicentre was near the town of Dowarabazar, which is only 36.5km by road (even less as the crow flies) from Meghalaya’s border town of Bholaganj.
No injuries or damage have been reported.
