The Central Puja Committee (CPC) will hold the 28th Drum-Beat competition on the occasion of Durga Puja at the Rilbong puja pandal on October 3 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Drum-beaters or Dhakis from different Durga Puja pandals of Greater Shillong and outside the State will participate at the competition, the CPC said in a statement today.
The competition is divided into group and individual categories and winners will be awarded with medals and cash prizes and the champion Duga Puja Committee (group and individual) will be awarded with a running trophy in memory of Dr Subrata Das and Shiv Kumar.
