In view of the upcoming General Elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), the Deputy Commissioner (Excise) of East Khasi Hills has declared two dry days on February 21 and 24 in the district.
The Khasi and Jaintia Hills autonomous district councils goes to the polls on February 21. In addition, the DC declared February 24, the day of counting of votes, a dry day as well.
All bonded warehouses, micro-breweries, IMFL off and on shops, home-made wine licensed premises, wine and beer bars, home delivery licensed premises, canteens and out-stills will remain closed.
