The Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi has declared ‘dry days’ on December 25 throughout the district on account of Christmas and January 1 on account of New Year. All bonded warehouses, liquor home delivery, canteens, bars, IMFL shops, bottling units and outstills will remain closed on this day, the notification said.
Meanwhile, in East Khasi Hills, a further ‘dry day’ has been declared on December 24, Christmas Eve.
