Standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been issued ahead of the reopening of driving schools, which will go ahead on October 26.
Covid-19 SOPs specific to driving schools, apart from the general ones that apply almost everywhere else, include the avoidance of “lengthy classroom sessions”, though what qualifies as lengthy is not specified.
Windows in the vehicles used for training will have to be kept open and air conditioners be kept off. Only three persons, including the instructor, are to be allowed inside the training imparting vehicle to take part in the driving classes, the SOPs from the Transport Department said today.
