The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that the draft electoral rolls for the district council constituencies have been prepared in accordance with Rule 129 (1) of the Assam and Meghalaya Autonomous District (Constitution of District Councils) Rule 1951 (Parts I, II & III), as amended by the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council.
The draft electoral rolls have been published for Sohryngkham, Mawkynrew, Nongkrem, Lyngkyrdem-Laitkroh, Nongshken, Mawsynram, Mylliem, Laban-Mawprem, Nongthymmai, Laitumkhrah-Malki, Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah, Jaiaw, Mawlai, Mawphlang-Diengiei and Nongspung-Sohiong district council constituencies
The draft rolls are also available for inspection in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District and at the office of all the Electoral Registration Officers/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers during office hours.
The qualifying date for preparation of electoral roll is 18 years and above as on January 1, 2025.
All claims and objections can be filed on or before January 24, 2025.
The final electoral roll of the district council constituency will be published on January 27, 2025.
