Director of Health Services (MI) Dr. Aman War has reportedly sent a hard hitting reply to the Commissioner & Secretary in-charge of Health and Family Welfare with regards to the incident on May 27 at Pasteur Hills, Lawmali here.
Sources informed that Dr. War in his 27-page reply to the show cause notice has reiterated that the building at Pasteur Hills, Lawmali was under the custody and possession of the Health Department and has never been handed over to Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), Shillong.
Sources also stated that Dr. War has sought lodging of FIR against IIPH, Shillong for trespassing into the property of the Directorate of Health Services (MI).
It is also learnt that Dr. War in his reply had sought necessary action against Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Sampath Kumar for going to the media and giving his view without affording him (Dr. War) an opportunity for being heard.
Sources also said that Dr. War has sought for withdrawal of the show cause notice issued to him on May 27 and to penalise the officials of IIPH, Shillong who forcefully occupied the room at Pasteur Hills, Lawmali which have been allocated to the Meghalaya Aids Control Society (MACS).
According to sources, another demand made by Dr. War was for stern action against one official of IIPH Shillong for his unruly and unacceptable behaviour towards the Project Director and other lady doctor of the MACS.
It may be mentioned that MACS is an integral part of the Directorate of Health Services and the Health Department.
