FKJGP president Dundee Cliff Khongsit today said that the State government and its agencies should not push his organisation to the wall.
He was speaking to media persons after coming out of Shillong Sadar Police Station where he was grilled in connection with the October 28 violence in the city during the rally against unemployment organised by the FKJGP.
“I would request the government and its agencies not to push us to the wall otherwise it would compel us to confront,” Khongsit said.
He also said that he explained to the police about the incidents on October 28 and that members of his organisation were not involved in any acts of violence on that day.
The FKJGP president said that some people tried to exaggerate the incidents although police have admitted that there were only minor injuries.
Khongsit also said that FKJGP would continue its campaign to highlight the hardships faced by families in the State due to the unemployment problem.
It may be mentioned that recently the police had questioned four senior FKJGP leaders who included general secretary Eldie Newton Lyngdoh, senior vice president Elton Cliff Warjri, vice president Kitboklang Nongphlang and organising secretary Khrawkupar Nongsiej.
Police have also arrested at least five persons in connection with the violence.
