Shillong, Nov 8: The Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), North East India Telecom Circle organised an awareness programme under the Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 at the BSNL Office, Tura, West Garo Hills.
The programme aimed to facilitate and promote the submission of Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) for BSNL and DoT pensioners through the Jeevan Pramaan application.
As part of this initiative, around 1000 pensioners whose Digital Life Certificates are due to expire in November 2025 are being targeted under the Nationwide DLC Campaign 4.0, organised by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW).
In line with the Government’s Digital India and Ease of Living missions, the department is also implementing various welfare measures including health camps and cyber security awareness drives, ensuring that pensioners receive both timely assistance for DLC submission and access to essential services on a single platform.
Addressing the gathering, Shubhranil Das, Joint Controller of Communication Accounts, spoke about the importance of digital registration and demonstrated the use of the Jeevan Pramaan App, available on the Play Store for hassle-free submission of life certificates. He emphasised that pensioners who are unable to register digitally may also opt for offline submission.
The campaign is being implemented across 171 cities nationwide this November, during which pensioners are required to update their annual life certificates.
During the event, several pensioners successfully submitted their Digital Life Certificates on the spot. The programme saw active participation from officials including Senior Account Officers who provided support in DLC registration and addressed pensioners’ grievances.
