An eatery along National Highway 37 was exposed as the hub for a sex racket by the Hynñiewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) today.
The ‘Shillong Dhaba’ is located in 9th Mile, Baridua. The owner-cum-manager of the establishment, Innamul Hussain, was arrested by police following the HNYF complaint and taken into custody.
The dhaba has been involved in the sex trade for at least two years, sources informed.
The HNYF and Border Welfare Committee raided the site today and found individuals involved in the racket.
Khanapara police were then informed and Hussain was arrested by the authorities.
