Congress Chief Vincent Pala today said that the party will deny party ticket to turncoats and deserters but they are welcome to work for it.
“They can come and work with the Congress party as members if they want, but no congress ticket will be granted to them for the 2023 elections,” he told reporters.
He also rubbished speculations that Congress is trying to bring back Dr. Mukul Sangma from the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).
“It will never happen. The Congress will not try to bring back Dr. Mukul Sangma to the party, but if he wants, he can also work for the party but no ticket will be granted to him,” he said, adding, “Deserters have betrayed the mandate of the people who gave them victory and the congress will never allot the party tickets to such people.”
