Khliehriat, Aug 22: A naked and highly decomposed body of a woman was found in a forest area of Sookilo in East Jaiñtia Hills district on August 19.
Police said the woman may be in her 40s and suspect she was murdered, before being dumped in the forest.
After the postmortem the body has been kept at Khliehriat Civil Hospital for claims.
A case has been registered and police are trying to identify the woman.
