The unclaimed dead body of one Shanta Bahadur (70) is being stored at the mortuary section of NEIGRIHMS waiting for friends, family, etc to take possession of it.
Bahadur had died on February 6 and, as his body went unclaimed, the authorities at the teaching hospital prepared to use it for academic and educational purposes.
However, in a release today, NEIGRIHMS said that “due to unexpected decomposition”, the body is no longer suitable for this purpose and relatives, acquaintances or other concerned parties have 15 days to claim the body.
