The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, Isawanda Laloo, has warned all those who have tested positive with Covid-19 not to break their 10-day quarantine period.
In a notification today, the DC said it had come to the notice of her office that several people who have tested positive for the disease have not strictly maintained the mandatory quarantine, including by going to health facilities to be tested before the allotted time.
By doing this, they are “putting everyone they meeting, including their family, health workers and other general public at risk by breaking the protocol of home isolation,” Laloo said.
Action under the Meghalaya Epidemic Disease Regulations 2020 will be taken against those who break the rules, she warned.
