A Divisional Level “Dak Adalat” will be held in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division, Shillong on November 29 at 11 am. The Dak Adalat will entertain grievances pertaining to postal services for its redressal.
In a statement issued today, the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices said that written complaints should be sent through ordinary post or speed post with the subject “Dak Adalat” superscribed on the cover and addressed to the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division, Shillong – 793001.
The statement also stated that complaints should contain full details like complete address and registration receipt number. For complaints about Saving schemes and Postal Life Insurance, the account number, policy number and full address of the depositor or insurer should be given.
The written complaints should reach the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division, Shillong – 793001 on or before November 28. Complaints, if any, received after this period will be redressed through the usual channel.
