Curfew hours have been relaxed in East Khasi Hills, according to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner.
Curfew will now run from 10pm to 5am daily. Restaurants, cafes, tea shops, bars, takeaway services, salons/beauty parlours and gymnasiums can operate until 8pm. Other shops and other economic activities (whether essential or non-essential) are permitted to open six days a week until 7:30pm.
Dine-in establishments, public parks, tourist spots and shops which have received permission from the DC’s office or relevant Sub-Divisional Officer can open on Sundays.
Hostels for college students are allowed to open subject to strict compliance with the standard operating procedures already issued by the Education Department.
