Crowborough Hotel, run by Taj Vivanta, will be inaugurated on October 14, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma informed today.
With construction taking decades, pushing the opening from September 7, the original date, seemed par for the course.
Sangma said that the October 14 opening will be a soft launch but the date has been fixed. He added that a team from Taj, after an inspection, made more observations and have asked for five to 10 days more to meet those requirements.
With numerous religious festivals coming in the next few days, October 14 was found to be the most suitable date, he added.
