Covid volunteers of South Shillong constituency were felicitated on Saturday by their MLA, Sanbor Shullai for assisting the district administration and the government during the pandemic.
Shullai who is also the chairman of the Monitoring cum Implementation Committee in the constituency gave away financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the volunteers from his salary
Shullai also distributed Hi-tech podiums with inbuilt sound system to various organisations under the constituency for them to use in promoting Covid vaccination drives in their respective localities.
Stating that the gift was a special initiative on behalf of the BJP, Shullai said that party workers will assist the district administration to assist the vaccination drive.
