There were six new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with 11 recoveries and one fatality.
The lone death was recorded in East Khasi Hills, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills accounted for two new cases, Ri-Bhoi one, South West Garo Hills one, West Garo Hills one and West Khasi Hills one.
East Khasi Hills accounted for four recoveries, North Garo Hills one, Ri-Bhoi one, South West Garo Hills two, West Garo Hills two and West Jaiñtia Hills one.
There are now 54 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills one, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills 17, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi eight, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills two, South West Khasi Hills three, West Garo Hills 20, West Jaiñtia Hills one and West Khasi Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,593 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,918 have recovered and 1,621 have died from the virus. There are 17 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 11 in East Khasi Hills, two in Ri-Bhoi, two in South West Khasi Hills and two in West Garo Hills.
