Meghalaya registered another 39 new cases of Covid-19 today.
Thirty-three of the new infections were reported in East Khasi Hills, with 20 returnees and seven armed forces/paramilitaries among them.
There were also three cases in West Jaiñtia Hills, two in Ri-Bhoi and one in South West Khasi Hills.
There were also four recoveries, three in East Khasi Hills and one in Ri-Bhoi.
There are now 202 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 148 active cases.
In all, Meghalaya has had 14,246 Covid-19 cases, of which 202 are active, 13,893 have recovered and 151 have died from the virus. Over 1.43 lakh doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in Meghalaya as of today.
