The Confederation of Ri Bhoi People (CORP) has claimed that illegal benami activities are being carried out at a charcoal factory in 13 Mer, Ri-Bhoi.
CORP has claimed that a factory in the area is practicing benami by misusing Khasi names to illegally supply charcoal there.
It also expressed shock that the Forest Department has never taken action against the factory.
