Meghalaya Police have asked members of the public not to circulate a video clip that has gone viral purportedly about the murder of Khasi people in Bangladesh.
The police are currently trying to ascertain the video’s veracity, Assistant Inspector General of Police GK Iangrai said in a press release today.
Those members of the public who have knowledge about the video have been requested to get in touch with the police through the force’s social media channels or through its WhatsApp number 6033090114.
Identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential.
