Khliehriat, Mar 27: Police in East Jaintia Hills raided an illegal coal mine at Wailong, under Sutnga village, and arrested nine workers at the site.
The police conducted the raid after receiving specific inputs about the illegal mining activity.

In the present case, an FIR has been registered at Khliehriat Police Station and a detailed investigation into the supply chain and forward linkages is currently underway.
