Thieves broke into the old Community Health Centre building in Khliehriat and stole copper pipes from the planned oxygen plant there on the night of February 8-9.
According to police, Dr Dominic Shylla, the District Medical and Health Officer of East Jaintia Hills, lodged a complaint that the unknown miscreants had broken into several rooms of the PSA (pressure swing absorption) plant and stolen copper pipes from the isolation ward in the old CHC building.
The hospital is one of several in the state where medical oxygen production capacity is being installed.
