Cooks and workers under the All Jaiñtia Mid Day Meal Worker Union, Jowai will take to the streets once again to protest against the failure of the government to respond to their demands.
The union informed that they will protest in Shillong on August 29.
It may be mentioned that while the The union has been pushing for an increase in honorarium from Rs 1,000 per month to Rs 5,000.
The cooks-cum-helpers of the PM POSHAN mid day meal scheme in Meghalaya have also not been paid since April.
