New containment orders have been issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi to fight the spread of Covid-19.
The Orchid Lake Resort Umiam and the MeECL Secondary School, Umiam, Ri-Bhoi have been declared as containment zones up to May 1 because of positive coronavirus cases detected there.
No person shall be allowed to move in the containment area and inhabitants within the containment area shall not move out and they shall strictly remain inside their homes, with no gatherings, events, functions whatsoever of any nature and forms or social, political, religious, economic activities allowed.
The Block Development Officer shall be the Supervising Officer and monitor strict compliance of the order.
