Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will travel to the Thai capital Bangkok for the second edition of the North-East India Festival, which will run from July 29 to 31.
The event, organised by the Indian embassy to Thailand, will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
The first edition of the festival was held in Bangkok in 2019, which, a central government press release said today, opened substantial business opportunities for the North East business community, especially in the tourism, agro and food processing sectors.
Sangma will be there along with the Chief Minister of Nagaland and Deputy CM of Arunachal Pradesh.
The focus of the festival will be on trade, investment and tourism promotion and exchanges in the field of culture, education and people-to-people connections.
