The state Congress has reformed the block-level party units in all the 12 constituencies that saw their sitting MLAs defect from the party to join the Trinamool Congress.
“We are doing well and have managed to reform the blocks in all these constituencies and we are receiving a very positive response from the people in all the constituencies,” Congress leader in the Assembly, Ampareen Lyngdoh, told Highland Post.
Stressing that the most important thing is to ensure that the people of Meghalaya have a stable government in 2023, she said that, as Congress Legislature Party leader, her top priority is the preparation of the party’s campaign this year.
“The Congress will undertake a series of meetings from January 10 and will not sit idle and take things for granted,” the legislator added.
