The Congress has released a second list of five candidates to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections, thereby filling up all the 60 seats.
The candidates are, Jhanika Siangshai for Khliehriat, Arbiangkam Khar Sohmat for Amlarem, Chireng Peter R Mark for Kharkutta, Dr Tweel K Marak for Resubelpara and Carla R Sangma for Rajabala constituency.
All the five candidates are fresh faces. The candidate from Kharkutta is Tura NPP MP Agatha Sangma’s brother-in-law. He had resigned from the NPP and joined the Congress this month.
Earlier this week, the party released the first list of 55 candidates, which included Shillong Lok Sabha MP Vincent Pala.
