A complaint has been lodged with the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner against a contractor regarding the construction of the Hatogaon AMPT to Delsigre PMGSY road.
The Garoland State Movement Committee, of Pedaldoba regional unit in the complaint said that the contract was allotted to one Abdul Roshid of Phulbari in 2015 but it remained incomplete.
According to the organisation said while the time frame for completion was kept at five years. “It appears that the contractor concerned is not interested to complete the work and has inconvenienced students and those needing urgent medical attention,” chairman Rimjen Ch Sangma said.
Pointing out that the road is of utmost importance to the people of the area as more than 10 villages are connected to the Medhipara AMPT and Pedaldoba NEC roads, Sangma urged the deputy commissioner to take legal action against the contractor for negligence of duty.
