Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today announced improvement and expansion of a road connecting Mawkyrwat and adjoining areas from Weiloi.
The chief minister who visited Mawkyrwat to attend two functions there said that the project will be funded through the World Bank MITP II at about Rs 120 crore.
He also announced a sanction of Rs 25 crore for the development of a resort at Nongnah and thanked the community who has collaborated with the government for creation of the infrastructure and partnering with the government to boost tourism in the area.
