At the recently concluded National Conference of JCI India at Vadodra, Gujarat, a girl from Shillong, Madhulata Jhunjhunwala was recognised by the National President’s Award for Excellence by the National President JCI Anish C Mathews for her exemplary work as PRAYAS Ambassador, (A joint initiative of JCI India and Nine Sanitary Napkins in promoting women awareness on menstrual hygiene).
Under the leadership of Madhulata more than 5517 people were directly benefited, more than 90 programs where done physically and more than 38,948 sanitary pads where distributed mostly in the rural areas. More than 200 online sessions were conducted in the North East.
