The Department of Health and Family Welfare will conduct the Intensified Mission Indradanush 4.0 in East Khasi Hills on February 7-14 with the objective to ensure full immunisation of children and pregnant women.
The District Medical and Health Officer, in a press release, said today that the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted essential immunisation services and the possibility of unvaccinated or partially vaccinated children being exposed to disease is high. If there is a large number of unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people in a particular area, the chances of disease outbreaks increases.
Parents of children under the age of 2 who are due for immunisation are requested to bring their wards to the session site in their respective locality.
