The South West Garo Hills FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2025 was held at St. Claret Higher Secondary School from July 9 to 12, attracting chess enthusiasts from across the region.
Organized by the South West Garo Hills District Chess Association under the Meghalaya Chess Association (MCA), the tournament featured multiple rated matches, providing a platform for players to earn or improve their international chess ratings.
A dedicated tournament committee, led by Secretary Henrych D. Sangma and President Macroland Marak, ensured the smooth conduct of the competition.
The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging outstanding performances.
