The outlawed Hynñiewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) through its interlocutor has demanded that the Justice Vaiphei report on the killing of its ex-leader be made public.
The report into the killing of ex-militant leader, Cherishterfield Thangkhiew by police was handed over to the government on May 20.
Sadon K Blah, the Hynñiewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) president, who is also the HNLC’s choice of interlocutor told reporters today that the State government should not make the delay in putting the report out to the public.
“The report will be maximum only 50 pages and any class XII student will be able to finish reading the 50 pages in two days,” he said.
Recently, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma had said that the government is still examining the report as it is a “very lengthy” and that the government will inform about it at an “appropriate time.”
