The Centre has approved the Farmers Mobilisation Project for Meghalaya amounting to around Rs 640 crore.
Informing this today, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted that the project included agriculture value chains, organic certification infrastructure and protecting traditional agricultural practices.
It may be noted that the State government has in March 2020 proposed the Meghalaya Farmers Mobilisation Project with a cost of Rs 512 crore and over five-year period implementation.
