A two-day Cataract screening and operation camp was held in Ampati, bringing hope and improved vision to hundreds in need.
The camp received an overwhelming response, with 480 patients screened for eye-related issues. Out of those, 73 individuals were diagnosed with cataracts, and 55 successful surgeries were performed, significantly enhancing the quality of life for the recipients.
This life-changing initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Elivia N. Sangma from Civil Hospital Tura, who led a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Their expertise and compassionate care ensured that patients received the highest quality medical attention, making the camp a tremendous success.
In addition to providing essential medical treatment, this initiative highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare in remote areas, where many people lack access to specialized eye care.
