Police have enough evidence to nail the culprits involved in the gangrape of a young woman in Nongthymmai.
Although the crime was committed in September 2023, it only recently became public knowledge through a video filmed of the assault.
“There is video footage and we are confident that we will be able to charge-sheet the case within the stipulated timeframe,” East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Rituraj Ravi said.
Three men were arrested and a minor detained earlier this week in connection with the crime.
