Concerns have been raised by candidates who will appear for the recruitment examination for the post of Nursing Officer at NEIGRIHMS as the centre of examination allotted to most of them will be held outside the state.
Candidates have to travel to as far as Rajasthan and other places outside the state, to undertake the examination. Candidates who do not want to be named are worried of the expenses they have to bear travelling to another state for the examination.
They also questioned that when recruitment is for the institute located in Shillong, why the examination would be held outside the State and not even in nearest states of the North East.
Furthermore, on November 23, NEIGRIHMS through a notification informed that candidates can download admit cards from November 25. It may be noted that mobile internet is banned in seven districts of the State following the Mukroh incident since November 22.
This has left most of the candidates worried even as the online mock test has also been scheduled for November 29 and 30. Though the mobile internet ban is supposed to be lifted by November 28 at 10: 30 am, the candidates are anxious because there have been three extensions of the ban.
Meanwhile, NEIGRIHMS today informed that the recruitment examination for the posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical), Dark room Assistant, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist was successfully conducted today.
A total of 148 candidates including candidates from Meghalaya as well other North Eastern states appeared for the examination.
The institute has thanked candidates for their cooperation and support for the successful the recruitment examinations.
