The Tri- Services Eastern Commanders–in-Chief conference concluded at the Eastern Air Command headquarters in Shillong yesterday.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for the commanders to exchange notes on the peculiarities of operations in their respective domains, identify each other’s strengths and arrive at mutually agreeable solutions to enhance inter-operability and synergy between the three services, an official statement said.
During the conference, the commanders-in-chief reviewed the progress made on various operational and logistic issues since the last meeting.
Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command, Vice Admiral B Dasgupta, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command and Lieutenant General RP Kalita, General Officer Commanding-in- Chief, Eastern Command (Army), attended the conference along with Air Marshal DK Patnaik, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command.
