Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and their families celebrated Diwali today at the BSF campus in Mawpat.
A Diwali mela was inaugurated by Simran Kaur Dhillon, the president of the Meghalaya unit of the BSF Wives Welfare Association. She welcomed all participants to an evening filled with festivity and celebration.
BSF personnel and their families joined in, participating in various games, enjoying food stalls and watching cultural programmes showcasing traditional performances. The mela was designed to bring together the BSF troops, their families and children for memorable enjoyment during the festive season.
The highlight of the evening were the performances by the BSF Jazz and Brass Bands, whose music captivated the audience. Additionally, the ever-popular tug-of-war event was a crowd favourite, creating a lively atmosphere as everyone cheered on the participants.
