The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya recovered hidden yaba tablets and rescued cattle meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.
Based on intelligence inputs, the 144 Battalion carried out a search operation in the vicinity of the international border under South Garo Hills district and found 285 yaba tablets inside a black plastic packet concealed near a tree.
The seized drugs were handed over to Gasuapara Police Station.
In another operation 19 cattle were rescued near the international border of West Jaintia Hills district in the early hours of March 28.
