Yesterday, alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya apprehended one Bangladeshi national and two Indian associates with Rs 2.32 lakh in Indian currency near the international border in East Khasi Hills.
Acting on specific information, personnel of the 110th Battalion intercepted a vehicle on the Ryngku-Mawsynram road near the international border and apprehended a Bangladeshi national identified as Mohmmad Milan Ahamed, resident of Sunamganj district in Bangladesh, and two Indian associates – Jennifer Thongni and Ailut Lyngdoh.
The apprehended individuals, cash and other seized items were handed over to the Mawsynram police for further investigation.
