The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya frontier today celebrated the 59th Raising Day with a blood donation camp at the composite hospital in Umpling.
The camp was attended by health minister Ampareen Lyngdoh wherein 120 jawans donated blood.
A series of events was also conducted at the Border Outpost (BOP) and Bada khana (military community feast as per tradition).
BSF Meghalaya frontier guards the 444 km long stretch of the international border with Bangladesh. It also engages in confidence-building measures and public outreach programs to strengthen relationships with the border population of the state.
