To mark the 75th anniversary of Indian independence, the brass and jazz band of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya presented an enthralling display on the international border at Ram Krishna Mission Secondary School in Shella, East Khasi Hills, yesterday.
The BSF band played many popular patriotic tunes and left the audience mesmerised. More than 500 people from bordering areas witnessed and enjoyed this programme.
The border force is organising many such events to celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with the intention of spreading awareness of national integration and to evoke a sense of patriotism among the public.
