The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya frontier today held a drug-free awareness campaign at Tura and its outposts ahead of the International Day against Drug Abuse.
“At the international level, illegal exchange of drugs has become a subject of concern,” the BSF said informing that a high degree of alertness is being maintained to eradicate social menaces.
During the awareness programme, rallies were organized to educate and sensitize local youth on the repercussions of drugs and motivated them to stay away from this menace.
BSF officers, jawans and local people also participated in the awareness programme.
